
Jim Mayer is a twenty seven year litigator, having left the practice of law for Command and Staff Positions with 75th Training Division (stationed in Houston) during the Iraq war. Col. Mayer is a pragmatist, preferring to encourage harmonious co-parenting relationships whenever possible, so as to avoid hostility among parents at future child events. Still, his courtroom history stands on its own and our clients have written glowing letters of thanks for Col. Mayer's tenacity and commitment to solving their problems.
Col. Mayer worked with Ms. Vance before his reservist command in 2004 and has now worked with Lisa Vance and Deanna Whitley since the spring of 2007.
Colonel James A. Mayer served from 1973 to 1978 as an active duty officer in the United States Army. He was a field artillery officer stationed with 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina until 1978 when he transferred to the United States Amry Reserve where he retired as a Colonel.
From 1978 until June 1996, Col. Mayer held Command and Staff Positions with 90th ARCOM, in San Antonio, Texas. From June 1996 to September 2004, he held Command and Staff Positions with 75th Training Division in Houston, Texas.
Jim Mayer received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York in 1973 and his J.D. from- St. Mary's University School of Law in 1981. He is licensed in all state courts and the Western and Southern District federal courts in Texas. His is also a Certified Mediator (Civil and Family Law), having received that certification in 1998.
